I kind of took a side step on the project. To work on some A.I. concepts
in another project so I could work out some of the design challenges of
making someone "smart" actions.
So, I took a random maze generator that I made earlier and turned it into
a game of Cat-n-Mouse. It's titled "Cat and DaRat" (yes, DaRat is one
word).
The player is a Mouse, in an unknown maze. His buddy DaRat, explores the
board discovering the maze. There's cheese as a goal, Catnip to act as
distractions against the cats - who are sleeping until DaRat wakes them
up.

DaRat shows the trail he takes to search the board, meant to help the player have an idea of which way to search. But, as DaRat returns, he cleans up his trail and leaves the player to their whits.
I've added the game to my Portfolio page. If anyone wants to goof off with it for a good ten minutes, I think you'll find a challenge.
You'll find a Download button near the bottom of the page near the terrible graphics...
