Okay, so I'm looking at the old code. It's essential that I learn how I did it before - as the code was perfected for the version it supported. Once I am very familiar with how it was done before I will be able to formulate the necessary changes to make to convert to the new system.

So...I will take the time it needs to go through it step by step, commenting the code as I go, which will cause it to become a 'story' in my head that's more easy to remember. This is a technique I used at my Internship. Being introduced to the code my boss wrote for a project you step in without knowing anything. To be able to effectively work on that project, you have to know its flow. So, the first thing I did there was step through his code commenting every line as I went just to get a feel for the project. Once I established this, I was able to go straight to the code in question when a trouble ticket was submitted on an issue.

For how ever long it takes me to code my own material will be when I make another entry here. Give me a few days...
